Kamsy Cards is an iPhone app made by Kirei Technology (“we,” “us”). We built it to help families send thank-you cards, and we only collect what we need to do that. We do not sell your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who this covers
Kamsy Cards accounts are for parents, guardians and other adults. Children can use the app with a grown-up to record their thank-you notes, but the account and every decision about sending cards belong to the adult. We do not knowingly let children under 13 create accounts. [CONFIRM COPPA approach with counsel]
What we collect
- Account info. If you sign in with Apple, we get the name and email Apple shares with us, which may be a private relay address.
- Guest info you add. Guest names, mailing addresses and optional email addresses, typed in or picked from Contacts. We only see the contacts you choose, never your whole address book.
- Party content. Event details, gift photos and thank-you notes.
- Voice dictation. When your child dictates a note, Apple’s speech recognition turns it into text. We keep the text of the note, not the audio. [CONFIRM: on-device vs. server speech, and that no audio is stored]
- Orders. Which cards you sent, how they were delivered, and their delivery status. Payments go through our payment processor, and we never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data. App version, device type and crash or error logs, so we can fix problems.
How we use it
- To make, print, mail and email your cards to the guests you pick
- To save guests and guest templates for your future parties
- To process payments, send receipts and give you order status
- To answer support requests and keep the service safe and working
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us deliver your cards, and only what each one needs:
- Print-and-mail partner (Thanks.io): the card image, the guest’s name and mailing address
- Email delivery provider (Resend): the guest’s email address and the card email
- Payment processor (Stripe and/or Apple): payment details for checkout [CONFIRM: Stripe vs. In-App Purchase]
- Hosting and storage (Cloudflare): our servers, databases and photo storage
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.
Website analytics
Our website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It doesn’t use cookies or local storage, doesn’t follow you across other sites, and doesn’t build a profile of you. We only see totals, like page views, countries and browser types. The Kamsy Cards app doesn’t use this.
Emails to your guests
When you choose email delivery, we send your guest one email with a picture of the card and a private link to view it. We don’t add guests to marketing lists. Card links expire after [CONFIRM: e.g. 90 days].
How long we keep things
We keep your account data until you delete it. Gift photos and card images are kept for [CONFIRM retention period] after a card is sent, so you can see order history and resend cards. Our print partner keeps mailing data only as long as it needs to deliver the card.
Your choices
- Edit or delete any guest, guest template or party in the app.
- Delete your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) [CONFIRM path] or by emailing support@kamsycards.com. This removes your data from our systems within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data at any time.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and access to it is limited to the people and systems that need it. No system is perfect, but we work hard to protect your family’s information.
Changes
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we’ll update the date above and tell you in the app.
